Best Credit Report

I am really not sure there is anything such as the best credit report but there are some qualities that this kind of report should have.

Before we get into that, it would be important to note that there are 3 government credit report agencies that keep the credit history of every American citizen. When gets the credit report, either online or through a service company, they will be able take a look at all the information regarding their credit standing.

Banks and/ or any other lending institution will use the information contained in the credit report as a criteria for determining whether an individual should get a personal loan, a consumer loan or even a housing loan, depending on the type of application.

One of the qualities of the best credit report is having good credit ratings/ scores. Whenever one uses their credit cards and there is some payment that is supposed to follow, the credit card company keeps track of that.

When payments are done on time, then the credit card holder is rewarded with higher rankings or scores. After doing some research, I was able to come up with a sample credit score, rated from good to bad

Below 620 – High Risk
690 – 740 – Medium Risk
780 – 850 – Low Risk

What the above means is that if someone has a score of 780 and above, then they have a good chance of getting a new job, getting a better loan with low interest rates etc.

If someone is in the 620 region, then it means most of the opportunities may be lost. This is why keeping a high score will enable one to have on of the best credit reports.

Another quality about the best credit report is that payments for the credits are done on time. After using the credit allocated on the credit card, one has a certain period to pay it off.

If they are able to pay it off within the time limit given then it will be recorded in the report. This will also help in the ratings above whereby if a credit user repays the credit on time, then they will get a higher score on their credits.

It is important to remember that a late payment will lower one’s credit scores by almost 50 points and this will be reflected on the report.

Some of the things that can hinder someone from having the best credit report are inaccuracies. One has to be really careful when dealing with such. It is possible that at times lenders will report late payments when payment was done on time.

This is something that is quite common and there have been several complaints on the same. Thus, it is always good to be careful about the entries on the reports.
